At RidgeView, we are including the Chattanooga Intelect Mobile 2 Radial Pressure Wave (RPW) device as part of a new Radial Pressure Wave treatment that has been approved by the FDA. Radial pressure waves help offer a non- invasive treatment solution to long term insertion and soft tissue pathologies that normally are very difficult to treat.
Radial pressure waves are a treatment method that helps reduce pain, as well as improves function by promoting blood flow, tissue regeneration, reduces pain and inflammation, breaks down calcifications or fibrous tissue, and stimulates cellular repair and collagen production.
A 10 min local treatment in the affected area will help support and reset the healing pattern that needs no additional pre-examinations or treatments such as ultrasound imaging, local anesthesia, MRI or X-ray.
Common conditions that can be treated to help reduce pain, increase blood flow, and activate connective tissue by RPW are:
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Shin Splint
- Jumper’s Knee
- Runner’s Knee
- Trochanteric Tendonitis
- Piriformis Syndrome
- Low Back/Thoracic Pain
- Frozen Shoulder
- Cervicobrachial Neuralgia
- Trapezius Tension
- Radial/Medial Epicondylitis
- Muscle Sprains/Cramps
